Anticorrosion Waterproof coating for outside application scenarios such as roof, wall, etc

DESCRIPTION

HISIL HC801 Series is a new type of single-component, moisture-curing modified polysiloxane hybrid waterproof and anticorrosive coating with toughness, high hardness, and high wear resistance. It is suitable for steel surface "rust-carrying and rust-inhibiting" protection and repair solution.

HC801 Series includes:

Leveling type for flat surface construction: HC801

Type for vertical or irregular surface construction: HC801V

Transparent type: HC801C

Sprayable types: HC801S, HC801VS

PRODUCT FEATURE

1.      Single-component, moisture-curing: Ready for brushing after opening the package; suitable for coating on vertical and irregular surfaces; easy to construct.

2.      Free of isocyanate compounds, organic solvents, and volatile plasticizers.

3.      Low odor, low VOC, formaldehyde-free, and no hazard labels.

4.      Excellent adhesion to most substrates without the need for a primer.

5.      Low requirement for substrate treatment: Can be constructed on damp substrates, as well as on new or old concrete surfaces.

6.      Water-resistant immediately after surface drying: No impact on waterproof performance when exposed to water; excellent early water spray resistance.

7.      After curing: Smooth surface, high elasticity, high wear resistance, high slip resistance, and excellent weather resistance.

8.      For rusted steel surfaces: No rust removal required; direct brushing to achieve rust prevention and inhibition.

9.      Multiple color options: Colorless transparent, multiple colored transparent, and multiple opaque colors available.

10.   No substrate contamination: good coat ability, excellent adhesion compatibility with various coatings, and no coating contamination after application.

11.   Additional functional coatings (e.g., anti-slip layers, anti-graffiti layers) can be applied on top of the cured coating.

12.   Hydrophobic surface with rainwater self-cleaning effect.

TYPICAL APPLICATION

1.      Suitable for waterproof and anticorrosive coating on metal or concrete surfaces of industrial neutral or weakly acidic water storage tanks.

2.      It is especially suitable for steel structure platform floors, steel structure corrosion protection, and stairwells (where the "rust-carrying coating and further rust inhibition" function is required),

3.      Suitable for anticorrosion and rust prevention on outdoor chemical pipelines and tank surfaces that temperature resistance is required.

PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Note: Conditioning, specimen is conditioned under (23±2) ºC, (50±5)% relative humidity if not specified.

CONSTRUCTION METHOD

1.      Substrate Preparation: a) Inspect the construction substrate before construction to ensure it is flat, firm, and free of looseness. b) Clean the substrate: Ensure no standing water, keep it clean, and free of particles, loose materials, oil, and other impurities. c) If the substrate has grooves or gaps deeper than 2 mm, fill and level them with putty, joint filler, or sealant first. For floors, it is recommended to use liquid leak-stopping waterproof liquid for grouting first. d) For rusted steel surfaces: If corrosion is severe (surface bulging, peeling, or heavy slag), first use a scraper or wire brush to remove surface slag and peeling layers, then blow off floating dust with compressed air (>6 kg pressure) before brushing, rolling, or spraying the coating. If corrosion is mild (only surface rust or pitting rust), directly blow off floating dust with compressed air before coating. e) If the surface has oil stains or raw material residues, perform oil removal treatment. After oil removal, it is recommended to apply a primer (Primer E01) to isolate oil stains; strictly follow the primer construction specifications for application. f) If the coating substrate has wide gaps (e.g., 2 mm), first fill and seal them with MS sealant (FM Series), and wait for the sealant to cure before coating.

2.      Product Inspection and Tool Preparation: a) Ensure the product packaging is intact and within the validity period. b) Confirm the bonded materials and the construction environment (temperature and humidity must meet the product usage conditions). c) Calculate the coating area and use an appropriate amount of waterproof coating based on a thickness of 1~2 mm. For the transparent HC801C, the recommended coating thickness is 0.5~1 mm.

3.      Peripheral Protection: a) Block the surroundings of drains and gutters to prevent coating from flowing in and causing blockages. b) Use masking tape to protect areas that need shielding.

4.      Coating Application: a) Apply the single-component solvent-free moisture-curing anticorrosive coating evenly; control the construction thickness at approximately 1.0~2.0 mm. For the transparent HC801C, the recommended coating thickness is 0.5~1 mm. Avoid air bubbles during application. b) If applying multiple coats, ensure the interval between each coat does not exceed 48 hours to prevent delamination.

5.      Curing and Maintenance: a) After construction, avoid foreign objects splashing onto the surface of the single-component solvent-free moisture-curing anticorrosive coating. b) Under standard conditions (23, 50% relative humidity), the coating can be stepped on after 24 hours of curing and maintenance, and can be used normally after 3 days.

6.      On-Site Cleaning: a) Wipe off spilled coating immediately with anhydrous ethanol. b) Tear off the protective tape in time and clean up excess adhesive. c) Set up isolation belts or place construction signs, etc.

PRECAUTIONS

1.      For Single-Component Solvent-Free Moisture-Curing Anticorrosive Coating:

2.      Use the coating as soon as possible after opening the package to avoid prolonged exposure.

3.      Due to the diversity of substrates, it is recommended to conduct an adhesion test before using the coating on special substrates.

4.      Construct in the order of "corners first, then flat surfaces; vertical surfaces first, then flat surfaces".

5.      During construction, the coating tends to accumulate in corners and joints; pay attention to controlling the construction thickness.

6.      For roller coating, it is recommended to use a short-haired roller or a sponge roller to reduce air bubbles.

7.      For brush coating, clean off loose hairs from the brush before use.

8.      Keep the area well-ventilated after construction; do not step on the coating until it is completely cured.

9.      Do not use protective tape with a silicone-coated surface.

10.   If spraying additional coating on the surface, wait for more than 24 hours after applying the waterproof coating and ensure the waterproof coating has hardened before application. Conduct a compatibility test before coating.

11.   If applying a second anti-slip layer or anti-graffiti layer on the cured waterproof coating for floors, wait for 12 hours; if the coating is used during this period, clean it first before applying the anti-slip or anti-graffiti layer.
